WHAT IS THE NAME OF TOKYO GHOUL THEME SONG SERIES
On a side note, the series author Natsume Ono also created the excellent Acca 13, another underrated seinen anime from the 2010s. Everyone in the series is relatable, but perhaps not in the way that one might expect.

The highlight of the series are the character-centric stories that slowly build up the world of feudal Japan.

The attention to detail in both art and sound design is impressive and yet not overpowering. Some viewers may be turned off at first by House of Five Leaves' exaggerated faces and the muted art style, but the unorthodox visuals fit with the melancholic tone of the series perfectly. Everyone has their own reasons for entering the life of crime, but they are all sympathetic in their own way. But unlike the fast-paced Samurai Champloo, House of Five Leaves takes its sweet time to tell a grounded, human story about a group of regular people. Produced by the same studio as Samurai Champloo, the now-bankrupt Manglobe, House of Five Leaves is about an unemployed, socially anxious samurai during the Edo period who ends up working with a group of kidnappers. But there are other less prominent but equally impressive seinen anime that have not gotten as much attention either due to their subject matter, art style or just a general lack of marketing. Even older series like Parasyte have gained a renewed interest after excellent modern reboots. Series like Tokyo Ghouland Vinland Sagahave won huge fanbases thanks to their successful anime adaptations. The 2010s saw a surge in great seinen anime partly thanks to an overall increase in anime production.

To be sure, there have been plenty of popular seinen series over the years, like Ghost in the Shell, Hellsingand Berserkto name a few, but for as many smash hits crossover, even more genuinely good titles often fly under the radar for many fans. I did not link to a Japanese cover because they tend to be more likely to be taken down by YouTube due to copyright violations than English covers, but the English melodies are very much the same as the Japanese covers that I have seen. With the industry's age-oriented marketing schemes, seinen manga and anime typically don't have as wide a reach as shonen titles often do, despite there being plenty of overlap between the two categories.

If it helps, here is a link to a fairly popular English cover of the song. I realize that this is a very vague description of a song since I only provide the name, but I guarantee that if you search "kokoronashi" on YouTube, you will find many covers of the song that I am referring to without trouble on the very first search results page. I noticed that the picture above was almost always associated with this song on YouTube and it had an anime art style, so I imagine that it might be some anime song, but upon performing a reverse image search, all the results simply brought me to the YouTube covers that contain the picture instead of pointing me to an anime where I can find the original song.ĭoes anybody know who sang the original version of this song and/or what anime it comes from, if any? (The search queries that I performed on YouTube were "kokoronashi", "kokoronashi original) However, this song seems to have been covered by so many different people so many times that I cannot find out who sang the original as some singers who covered it cite conflicting original versions/artists of this song. I recently discovered a cover for the song "Kokoronashi" on SoundCloud, so I tried to find the original version of the song, or at least information about who the original artist is, on YouTube.
